Welcome To My Garden

A brand new Sky1 series titled ‘Welcome to my Garden’ is set to explore the beautiful private gardens of Britain and Ireland.

The UK satellite channel gave the green light to the show back in June and is now searching for green-fingered fanatics to take part. The prime time show will take a competitive format and will travel to different regions where three gardeners will take it in turns to visit and judge each other’s gardens.

Contestants will differ in tastes and gardening styles, and will aim to explain why their techniques and approaches are the best of the bunch.

Sky described the format, explaining what kind of gardeners they are looking for:

“Differing in their taste and gardening styles, from pruning and potting enthusiasts to those who take a more relaxed, nature-led approach, they are all passionate, green fingered gardeners who will explain why they believe their approach is the best and how their competitors might improve.

As celebrating their passion for gardening by exploring each other’s domains, the competitors will share it with viewers by providing expert knowledge and accessible, inspiring tips about how they can develop their own gardens into the amazing retreats featured in the series.”

Siobhan Mulholland, commissioning editor of factual and features at Sky, said “Welcome to My Garden will be a fun, factual Sky 1 series with lots of warmth and insights into gardeners and their creations,” “It will tap into one of the British public’s biggest passions.”
