According to a recent report, unseasonal rains, floods and droughts are just a few of the key risks that we can expect to see more of in the future.
The comprehensive report, which is the first of its kind, was released by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, and was put together by more than 300 expert authors from 70 different countries. The forecast was stark as the findings revealed the full impact of global warming over the coming decades.
Europe was highlighted as being at high risk of drought and flooding due to rising greenhouse gas emissions.
The scientists behind the report encouraged us to take immediate steps to reducing carbon emissions, and to ensure we are prepared for the risks.
Vicente Barros, a co-chair of the report stated:
“We live in an era of man-made climate change,”
“In many cases, we are not prepared for the climate-related risks that we already face. Investments in better preparation can pay dividends both for the present and for the future.”
Artificial grass is working in both the economies and the environments favour. A growing number of households are swapping unfriendly fertilizers, lawnmowers and hosepipes for low maintenance synthetic turf.
The environmental benefits include fewer mowers polluting the air, a reduction in harsh chemicals such as fertilizer or pesticide and, most importantly, less water use. You could say that artificial grass is the “greener” alternative to natural turf!
In drought and flood prone regions across the world, artificial turf provides a no hassle alternative to vulnerable areas of natural grass.
After long periods of rain or hot, dry weather your artificial grass garden will remain exactly the same, leaving you with the exact lush green lawn that you have always had.
